If man can create the wonderful things he creates,
just imagine what God could do if He really put His mind to it.

Be of good cheer and filled with joy, for you have walked with the King.
And the King has graciously called you his child. Can you imagine.
A child of the King, no longer to be called a commoner or a peasant.
But you and yours, until well beyond the edge of time,
Shall be called Beautiful, Children of his Majesty, heirs to all he possesses.
- Bill King, July 6, 2004
JFK said, we can't protect the rights of the rich if we can't protect the rights of the poor...
let your light so shine before men that they see your father which is in heaven and glorify him...
it is better to light one little candle than to curse the darkness...
do not hide your light under a basket...
live more simply so others may simply live...
My Quest for Heaven's Gate by Bill King
I fly high on my Heavenly Father's wings,
It's a high and lofty view of the world sitting here on His lap.
He inspires every breath I take and every move I make.
I cannot live alone without Him, I dare not dream a life alone.
But I do not need to worry, for walking in the Garden with Him
I see a statue of me wrapped in the loving arms of Jesus,
I am at peace, at rest, at one with the Master and Maker of the Universe
And I sing out loud, Glory to God in the Highest, it is well with my soul.
July 13, 2004 Bill King
Dear Heavenly Father,
The heavens display Your Power and Awe, O Mighty King,
The angels sing in a ring around Your Throne,
The Universe bows down as You pass in reverence,
Birds and butterflies blush at the mere mention of Your Name,
He who was from before time, is now and always shall be,
The One who designed me, sustained me and then died to redeem me,
I hold You in Wonder and the highest point a human heart can aspire to,
It's the fairy tale come true, better than all of my wishes and dreams,
I have found my Delight in You, let me run to be with You,
Please do not look at how I failed You, rather look at how I loved You,
I shed no tears on leaving this world to enter into Your world,
I leave with a heart filled with joy for I know You are mighty to save,
And I come to sing Your wonders and praise Your Holy Name. Amen.
Your unworthy Child,
- Bill King
Meredith Nicholson, Hoosier journalist and poet,
penned "Christmas in the Pines" in the 1800s.
He relates that on Christmas Eve, a fierce gale sprang up,
bringing fresh snow for Christmas. On Christmas morning
he woke to find a still, beautiful world and ventured out:
"Into the pathless waste I go,
With muffled steps among the pines
That, robed in sunlight and soft snow,
Stand like a thousand radiant shrines.
"Save for a boy's song, far and faint,
There is no sound at all in the wood;
The murmuring pines are still; their plaint
At last was heard and understood.
"Here floats no chime or Christmas bells,
There is no voice to give me cheer;
But through the pine woods all is well,
For God and love and peace are here."
The poem was published in Poets and Poetry of Indiana,
a collection of poems written in the 1800s compiled
by Benjamin S. Parker and Enos B. Heiney, and published
in 1900 by Silver, Burdett and Company.
Adapted by James W. King - 2004.
Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale.
"The True Story of My Life"
by Hans Christian Andersen
FAIRYTAIL KINGDOM
Dream a fairytale dream with me,
Come to the land of faraway and long ago,
Where every wish your heart makes comes true,
Where children reign forever and evermore,
This land of the faithful, the true and the brave
With handsome knights and pretty princesses,
And a mouse who would-be king,
Here life unfolds in all of it's radiant beauty,
Here everyone is truly beautiful and young and strong.
Neighbors do not hate, they help and say, Friend.
A Rainbow over head and a path of Golden bricks,
Lead us to a Paradise where plenty and peace abound.
The factory here makes dreams and clouds and
in the background bluebirds sing a happy song.
There are no tears or dark clouds to be found,
They've all been chased and swept away.
The children spend their time at play or
once-in-awhile making Teddy Bear picnic baskets
for the day. There is no other way to be happy,
you see. It's Yes, Sir and No, Ma'm and
Oh Yes, If You Please. And Thank You and
You are Welcome, we sing it all day long.
No laws, there is no need. The only law here
is to love one another better than ourselves.
For everyone here is beautiful, there is no strife.
The Golden Rule is the only rule and one we must abide.
And FairyTail Kingdom and the King of Mice
Will reign in the hearts of its children forever.
And Christmas Castle will always be a place
where any child can go and be free from
fear and want. A place where every dream comes true.
You can see with your heart.
Make the dark skies depart.
All you need is some love to start with.
You can see with your heart.
Sing a song of innocence.
Whisper of dreams and hope to me,
For these are the permanent things.
World's unseen, memories tidied up,
These are the stuff dreams are made of.
Here everyone is an artist, all are musicians,
for we all have a song to sing,
a picture to paint, a story to tell. And
that is why FairyTail Kingdom is
The Fairest of Them All... For here,
Everyone, no matter how small,
has a dream and a fairytale to tell.
And they all lived happily ever after.
God Bless Us Everyone...
Amen.
In Hans Christian Andersen's
The Last Dream of the Oak Tree,
the oak tree and the mayfly discuss death:
'Over, what is over?' asks the little fly.
'Will all the beauty in the world die when you die?' she asks the oak tree.
'It will last longer, infinitely longer than I am able to imagine,' replies the great oak tree.
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
Gloria in Excelsis Deo.
It Was The Birthday Of A King
In the little village of Bethlehem,
There lay a Child one day,
And the sky was bright With a Holy light
O'er the place where Jesus lay.
Alleluia! O how the angels sang,
Alleluia! How it rang!
And the sky was bright with a Holy light,
'Twas the birthday of a King!
'Twas a humble birthplace, but oh, how much
God gave to us that day,
From the manger bed What a path has led,
What a perfect Holy way.
Alleluia! O how the angels sang,
Alleluia! How it rang!
And the sky was bright with a Holy light,
'Twas the birthday of a King!
Do You Hear What I Hear?
Noel Regney and Gloria Shayne
Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see?
'Way up in the sky, little lamb
Do you see what I see?
A star, a star
Dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
With a tail as big as a kite
Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
Ringing thru the sky, shepherd boy
Do you hear what I hear?
A song, a song
High above the tree
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea
Said the shepherd boy to the mighty king
Do you know what I know?
In your palace warm, mighty king
Do you know what I know?
A Child, a Child
Shivers in the cold
Let us bring Him silver and gold
Let us bring Him silver and gold
Said the king to the people ev'rywhere
Listen to what I say!
Pray for peace ev'rywhere
Listen to what I say!
The Child, the Child
Sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light
The Greatest Gift of All
John Jarvis
Dawn is slowly breaking
Our friends have all gone home
You and I are waiting
For Santa Claus to come
There's a present by the tree
Stockings on the wall
Knocking you're in love with me
Is the greatest gift of all
The fire is slowly fading
Chill is in the air
All the gifts are waiting
For children ev'rywhere
Through the window I can see
Snow begin to fall
Knowing you're in love with me
Is the greatest gift of all
Just before I go to sleep
I hear a church bell ring
Merry Christmas ev'ryone
Is the song it sings
So I say a silent prayer
For creatures great and small
Peace on earth goodwill to men
Is the greatest gift of all
Peace on earth goodwill to men
Is the greatest gift of all.
We Shall Behold Him
Dottie Rambo
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and
with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we
ever be with the Lord.
- The Holy Bible, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
The sky shall unfold, preparing His entrance;
The stars shall applaud Him with thunders of praise.
The sweet light in His eyes shall enhance those a waiting,
And we shall behold Him then face to face.
Chorus
And we shall behold Him, we shall behold Him
Face to face in all of His glory;
And we shall behold Him, Yes, we shall behold Him
Face to face, our Saviour and Lord.
The angels shall sound the shout of His coming,
The sleeping shall rise from their slumbering place.
And those who remain shall be changed in a moment,
And we shall behold Him then face to face.
Chorus
And we shall behold Him, we shall behold Him
Face to face in all of His glory;
And we shall behold Him, Yes, we shall behold Him
Face to face, our Saviour and Lord.
We shall behold Him, our Saviour and Lord.
LORD OF THE DANCE
Also Known As:
SIMPLE GIFTS
'Tis a gift to be simple, tis a gift to be free
'Tis a gift to come down where we ought to be
And when we find we're in the place just right
We'll be in the valley of love and delight
Dance, Dance, wherever you may be.
I am the Lord of the Dance, said he.
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all, in the dance said he.
When true simplicity is gained,
To bow and to bend, we shan't be ashamed.
To turn, turn, will be our delight
'Til by turning, turning, we come 'round right
Dance, Dance, wherever you may be.
I am the Lord of the Dance, said he.
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all, in the dance said he.
Dance, Dance, wherever you may be.
I am the Lord of the Dance, said he.
And I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
And I'll lead you all, in the dance said he.
I Believe
Words and Music by Ervin Drake, Jimmy Shirl, Al Stillman, and Irvin Graham
I believe for every drop of rain that falls a flower grows
I believe that somewhere in the darkest night a candle glows
I believe for everyone who goes astray someone will come to show the way
I believe, I believe
I believe above the storm the smallest prayer will still be heard
I believe that someone in the great somewhere hears every word
Every time I hear a newborn baby cry or touch a leaf or see the sky
Then I know why I believe
Every time I hear a newborn baby cry or touch a leaf or see the sky
Then I know why I believe (why I believe)
You Can
=======
If you can't feed a billion people,
then feed just one.
If you can't hire twenty million unemployed,
then hire just one.
If you can't support an army,
then pray for one soldier.
If you can't cure disease,
then visit one person in the hospital.
One smile provides healing.
If you can't save the world,
then improve your community;
and if you can't improve your community,
then help your next-door neighbor.
We can't save the world,
but we can save those within hugging distance.
Don't give up.
Don't become overwhelmed.
We are responsible only for the people in our breathing space.
Charity begins with the next person you see.
Charity begins with just you and just me.
If everyone on earth felt this way, what kind of planet would it be?
Beyond the Cross
His life was filled with purpose to do his Father’s will.
The essence of his mission drove Jesus up that hill.
And at his crucifixion, no human eye could see,
That love’s finest hour was just beyond the tree.
Beyond the cross,
Beyond the tomb filled with despair,
Lies the hope I have inside for all that Christ did there.
Though death must come, his light will shine again.
Beyond the cross, beyond the cross.
And now each day of living begins with sacrifice,
For now it is my bidding to offer up my life.
And each new day, the crucifixion humbles me again,
As I die to my ambitions and remember once again.
Beyond the cross,
Beyond the tomb filled with despair,
Lies the hope I have inside for all that Christ did there.
Though death must come, his light will shine again.
Beyond the cross, beyond the cross.
Through the pain of life, I find a hidden strength,
To rise and see what waits for me.
Beyond the cross,
Beyond the tomb filled with despair,
Lies the hope I have inside for all that Christ did there.
Though death must come, his light will shine again.
Beyond the cross, beyond the cross.
Beyond the cross.
Let There Be Peace On Earth
Sy Miller and Bill Jackson
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be
With God as our Father
Brothers all are we
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect harmony
Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow
To take each moment
And live each moment
In peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin with me
Let there be peace on earth
The peace that was meant to be
With God as our Father
Brothers all are we
Let me walk with my brother
In perfect harmony
Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow
To take each moment
And live each moment
In peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
And let it begin
With me
In the circle of family and friends,
may we find a world
of love and peace.

"To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee forever."
- The Holy Bible, Psalm 30:12
How can I say thanks for the things you have done for me?
Things so undeserved, yet You gave to prove your love for me.
The voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude.
All that I am and ever hope to be I owe it all to thee.
To God be the glory, to God be the glory,
To God be the glory, for the things He has done.
With His blood He has saved me
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory, for the things He has done.
Just let me live my life and let it be pleasing Lord to thee
And should I gain any praise let it go to Calvary.
With His blood He has saved me,
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory for the things He has done.
To God be the glory, to God be the glory,
To God be the glory, for the things He has done.
With His blood He has saved me
With His power He has raised me
To God be the glory, for the things He has done.
Teach Your Children
Graham Nash
You who are on the road
must have a code that you can live by
and so become yourself
because the past is just a goodbye.
Teach your children well
their father's hell
will slowly go by
and feed them on your dreams
the one they picks
the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why
if they told you, you would cry
so just look at them and sigh
and know they love you.
And you, of tender years
can't know the fears
that your elders grew by
and so please help them with your youth
they seek the truth
before they can die.
(Can you hear and do you care
and can't you see we must be free
to teach our children what you believe in
make a world that we can believe in)
Teach your parents well
their children's hell
will slowly go by
and feed them on your dreams
the one they picks
the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why
if they told you, you would cry
so just look at them and sigh
and know they love you
Down from His Glory
William E. Booth-Clibborn, w
Eduardo di Capua, m (1921)
"For I came down from heaven, not to do mine
own will, but the will of him that sent me."
- The Holy Bible, John 6:38
Down from His glory, ever living story,
My God and Savior came, and Jesus was His name;
Born in a manger to His own a stranger,
A man of sorrows, tears and agony!
Chorus
Oh how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!
What condescension, bringing us redemption,
That in the dead of night, not one faint hope in sight,
God gracious, tender laid aside His splendor,
Stooping to woo, to win, to save my soul!
Chorus
Oh how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!
Without reluctance, flesh and blood His substance,
He took the form of man, revealed the hidden plan;
O glorious mystery sacrifice of Calvary!
And now I know He is the great "I AM"!
Chorus
Oh how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!
Beautiful Isle Of Somewhere
Tennessee Ernie Ford
Somewhere the sun is shining,
Somewhere the songbirds dwell;
Hush, then, thy sad repining,
God lives, and all is well.
Somewhere, somewhere,
Beautiful Isle of Somewhere!
Land of the true, where we live anew,
Beautiful Isle of Somewhere!
Somewhere the day is longer,
Somewhere the task is done;
Somewhere the heart is stronger,
Somewhere the guardian won.
Somewhere the load is lifted,
Close by an open door;
Somewhere the clouds are rifted,
Somewhere the angels sing.
Young At Heart
Johnny Richards, m, Carolyn Leigh, w.
Performed by Jimmy Durante
Fairy tales can come true, it can happen to you
If you're young at heart
For it's hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind
If you're young at heart.
You can go to extremes with impossible schemes
You can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams
And life gets more exciting with each passing day
And love is either in your heart or on its way.
Don't you know that it's worth every treasure on Earth
To be young at heart
For as rich as you are it's much better by far
To be young at heart.
And if you should survive to 105
Look at all you'll derive out of being alive
Then here is the best part
You have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart.
And if you should survive to 105
Look at all you'll derive out of being alive
Then here is the best part
You have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart.
Return to Pooh Corner
Performed by Kenny Loggins
Christopher Robin and I walked along
Under branches lit up by the moon.
Posing our questions to Owl and Eeyore
As our days disappeared all too soon.
But I've wandered much further today than I should
And I can't seeem to find my way back to the wood.
So, help me if you can I've got to get
Back to the house at Pooh Corner by One.
You'd be surprised there's so much to be done,
Count all the bees in the hive,
Chase all the clouds from the sky.
Back to the days of Christopher Robin and Pooh.
Winnie the Pooh doesn't know what to do,
Got a honey jar stuck on his nose.
He came to me asking help and advice
And from here no one knows where he goes.
So I sent him to ask of the Owl if he's there,
How to loosen a jar from the nose of a bear?
So, help me if you can I've got to get
Back to the house at Pooh corner by one
You'd be surprised there's so much to be done,
Count all the bees in the hive,
Chase all the clouds from the sky .
Back to the days of Christopher Robin and Pooh,
Back to the days of Christopher Robin,
Back to the ways of Pooh.
It's hard to explain how a few precious
Things seem to follow throughout all our lives
After all's said and done I was watching my son,
Sleeping there with my bear by his side.
So I tucked him in, I kissed him and as I was going,
I swear that old bear whispered "boy welcome home".
Believe me if you can I've finally
Come back to the house at Pooh Corner by One.
What do you, there's so much to be done.
Count all the bees in the hive,
Chase all the clouds from the sky
Back to the days of Christopher Robin
Back to the days of Christopher Robin
Back to the ways of Pooh.
The Teddy Bear's Picnic
Bratton and Jimmy Kennedy, lyrics
If you go down in the woods today
You're sure of a big surprise.
If you go down in the woods today
You'd better go in disguise.
For every Bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the Teddy Bears have their picnic.
Picnic time for Teddy Bears,
The little Teddy Bears are having a lovely time today.
Watch them, catch them unawares
And see them picnic on their holiday.
See them gaily gad about,
They love to play and shout;
They never have any care;
At six o'clock when Mommies and Daddies
will take them home to bed,
Because they're tired little Teddy bears.
Every Teddy bear who's been good
Is sure of a treat today.
There's a lot of marvellous things to eat,
And wonderful games to play.
Beneath the trees where nobody sees
They'll hide and seek as long as they please,
Cause that's the way the Teddy Bears have their picnic.
Picnic time for Teddy Bears,
The little Teddy Bears are having a lovely time today.
Watch them, catch them unawares
And see them picnic on their holiday.
If you go down in the woods today
You'd better not go alone.
It's lovely down in the woods today
But safer to stay at home.
For every Bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain, because
Today's the day the Teddy Bears have their picnic.
Picnic time for Teddy Bears,
The little Teddy Bears are having a lovely time today.
Watch them, catch them unawares
And see them picnic on their holiday.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn around.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, touch the ground.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, close your eyes.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, be surprised.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, climb up the stairs.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, say your prayers.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn out the light.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, say good night.
- Teddy Bear, Traditional Child's Skipping Song

He can turn the tides and calm the angry sea,
He alone decides who writes the symphony.
He lights every star that makes our darkness bright.
He keeps watch all through each long and lonely night.
He still finds the time to hear a child's first prayer,
Saint or sinner call and always find Him there,
Though it makes Him sad to see the way we live,
He'll always say, "I forgive."
He still finds the time to hear a child's first prayer,
Saint or sinner call and always find Him there,
Though it makes Him sad to see the way we live,
He'll always say, "I forgive!"
He can grant a wish or make a dream come true.
He can paint the clouds and turn the grey to blue.
He alone knows where to find the rainbow's end,
He alone can see what lies beyond the bend.
He can touch a tree and turn the leaves to gold.
He knows every lie that you and I have told,
Though it makes Him sad to see the way we live,
He'll always say, "I forgive."
He can touch a tree and turn the leaves to gold.
He knows every lie that you and I have told,
Though it makes Him sad to see the way we live,
He will always say, "I forgive! I forgive!"
Everything is Beautiful
Ray Stevens
"Jesus Loves the Little Children"
C. Herbert Woolston and George F. Root
Jesus loves the little children,
All the children of the world;
Red and yellow, black and white,
They are precious in His sight;
Jesus loves the little children of the world.
Refrain
Everything is beautiful in its' own way,
Like a starry summer night
or a snow covered winter's day.
Everybody's beautiful in their own way,
Under God's heaven, the world's gonna find a way.
There is none so blind as he who will not see.
We must not close our minds,
we must let our thoughts be free.
For every hour that passes by,
you know the world gets a little bit older.
It's time to realize that beauty lies
in the eyes of the beholder.
Refrain
Everything is beautiful in its' own way,
Like a starry summer night
or a snow covered winter's day.
Everybody's beautiful in their own way,
Under God's heaven, the world's gonna find a way.
We shouldn't care about the length of his hair
or the color of his skin.
Don't worry about what shows from without
but the loves that lives within.
We're gonna get it all together
And everything's gonna work out just fine.
Just take a little time to look on the good side
and straighten it out in your mind.
Refrain
Everything is beautiful in its' own way,
Like a starry summer night
or a snow covered winter's day.
Everybody's beautiful in their own way,
Under God's heaven, the world's gonna find a way.
Everything is beautiful in its' own way,
Like a starry summer night
or a snow covered winter's day.
Everybody's beautiful in their own way,
Under God's heaven, the world's gonna find a way.
Under God's heaven, the world's gonna find a way.
Happy Trails to You

Some trails are happy ones,
Others are blue.
It's the way you ride the trail that counts,
Here's a happy one for you.
Happy trails to you, it's great to say "hello".
And to share with you the trail we've come to know.
It started on the day that we met Jesus,
He came into our hearts and then He freed us.
For a life that's true, a happy trail to you.

The Rainbow Connection
Written by Paul Williams
Performed by Kermit the Frog
The Muppets, Jim Henson Productions
Why are there so many songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
And rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
I know they're wrong, wait and see.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
The lovers, the dreamers and me.
Who said that every wish would be heard and answered
when wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that
and someone believed it,
and look what it's done so far.
What's so amazing that keeps us stargazing?
And what do we think we might see?
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
the lovers, the dreamers and me.
All of us under its spell,
we know that it's probably magic....
Have you been half asleep
and have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name.
Is this the sweet sound that calls the young sailors?
The voice might be one and the same.
I've heard it too many times to ignore it.
It's something that I'm supposed to be.
Someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection,
the lovers, the dreamers and me.
La, la la, La, la la la, La Laa, la la, La, La la laaaaaaa.
Snoopy versus The Red Baron
The Royal Guardsmen
The news had come out in the First World War
The bloody Red Baron was flying once more
The Allied command ignored all of its men
And called on Snoopy to do it again.
Twas the night before Christmas, 40 below
When Snoopy went up in search of his foe
He spied the Red Baron, fiercely they fought
With ice on his wings Snoopy knew he was caught.
Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ring out from the land
Asking peace of all the world
And good will to man
The Baron had Snoopy dead in his sights
He reached for the trigger to pull it up tight
Why he didn't shoot, well, we'll never know
Or was it the bells from the village below.
Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ringing through the land
Bringing peace to all the world
And good will to man
The Baron made Snoopy fly to the Rhine
And forced him to land behind the enemy lines
Snoopy was certain that this was the end
When the Baron cried out, "Merry Christmas, my friend"
The Baron then offered a holiday toast
And Snoopy, our hero, saluted his host
And then with a roar they were both on their way
Each knowing they'd meet on some other day.
Christmas bells those Christmas bells
Ringing through the land
Bringing peace to all the world
And good will to man.
One Tin Soldier
The Legend of Billy Jack
by Lambert-Potter
Listen, children, to a story
That was written long ago,
'Bout a kingdom on a mountain
And the valley-folk below.
On the mountain was a treasure
Buried deep beneath the stone,
And the valley-people swore
They'd have it for their very own.
Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after....
One tin soldier rides away.
So the people of the valley
Sent a message up the hill,
Asking for the buried treasure,
Tons of gold for which they'd kill.
Came an answer from the kingdom,
"With our brothers we will share
All the secrets of our mountain,
All the riches buried there."
Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after....
One tin soldier rides away.
Now the valley cried with anger,
"Mount your horses! Draw your sword!"
And they killed the mountain-people,
So they won their just reward.
Now they stood beside the treasure,
On the mountain, dark and red.
Turned the stone and looked beneath it...
"Peace on Earth" was all it said.
Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after....
One tin soldier rides away.
Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
Come the judgement day,
On the bloody morning after....
One tin soldier rides away.
Little White Cloud That Cried
Johnnie Ray
I went walkin' down by the river
Feeling very sad inside
When all at once I saw in the sky
The little white cloud that cried.
He told me he was very lonesome
And no one cared if he lived or died
And said sometimes the thunder and lightning
Make all little clouds hide.
He said "Have faith in all kinds of weather"
"For the sun will always shine"
"Do your best and always remember"
"The dark clouds pass with time".
He asked if I'd tell all my world
Just how hard those little clouds try
That's how I know I'll always remember
The little white cloud that sat right down and cried.
Marshmallow World
Carl Sigman
(with all due respect to Carl, I can't help thinking
of the Stay-Puffed Marshmallow Man in
Ghostbusters when I read this... hahaha...)
Ahhhh, it's a marshmallow world in the winter,
When the snow comes to cover the ground.
It's the time for play, it's a whipped cream day,
I wait for it the whole year round!
Those are marshmallow clouds being friendly,
In the arms of the evergreen trees;
And the sun is red like a pumpkin head,
It's shining so your nose won't freeze!
The world is your snowball, see how it grows,
That's how it goes, whenever it snows.
The world is your snowball just for a song,
Get out and roll it along!
It's a yum-yummy world made for sweethearts,
Take a walk with your favorite girl.
It's a sugar date, so what if spring is late,
In winter it's a marshmallow world!
It's a marshmallow day in the winter,
When the snow comes to cover the ground.
It's the time for play, it's a whipped cream day,
And we wait for it the whole year round!
Just you remember that,
Those are marshmallow clouds being friendly,
In the arms of the evergreen trees;
And the sun is red like a pumpkin head,
It's shining so your nose won't freeze!
You must remember that,
The world is your snowball, see how it grows,
That's how it goes whenever it snows.
The world is your snowball just for a song,
Get out and roll it along!
It's a yum-yummy world made for sweethearts,
Take a walk with your favorite girl.
It's a sugary date, so what if spring is late,
In winter it's a marshmallow world...
In winter it's a marshmallow world...
In winter it's a marshmallow world...
It's Not Easy Being Green
Kermit The Frog
Jim Henson Productions - The Muppets
It's not that easy being green;
Having to spend each day the color of the leaves.
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold...
or something much more colorful like that.
It's not easy being green.
It seems you blend in with so many other ord'nary things.
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're
not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water
or stars in the sky.
But green's the color of Spring.
And green can be cool and friendly-like.
And green can be big like an ocean, or important like a mountain,
or tall like a tree.
When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why?
Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful!
And I think it's what I want to be.
Our House
Crosby, Stills and Nash
I'll light the fire, while you place the flowers
In the vase that you bought today.
Staring at the fire for hours and hours,
While I listen to you play your love songs
All night long for me, only for me.
Our house, is a very, very, very fine house.
With two cats in the yard,
Life used to be so hard,
Now everything is easy 'cause of you.
Come to me now, and rest your head for just five minutes,
Everything is done.
Such a cozy room, the windows are illuminated
By the evening sunshine through them,
Fiery gems for you, only for you.
Our house, is a very, very, very fine house.
With two cats in the yard,
Life used to be so hard,
Now everything is easy 'cause of you.
When my brother Tommy
Sleeps in bed with me,
He doubles up
and makes
him self
exactly
like
a
V
And 'cause the bed is not so wide,
A part of him is on my side.

A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
Mack David, Al Hoffman & Jerry Livingston
Performed by Ilene Woods (Cinderella)
A dream is wish your heart makes
When you're past asleep
In dreams, you will lose your heartache
Whatever you wished for, you keep
Have faith in your dream and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling too
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true
La la la la la la la la la la la rin
Ohh oh la ra la ra la rin
Ohh oh la ra la ra la rin
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream tha you wish will come true
No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true.
I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing
(R. Cook/R. Greenway/B. Backer/B. Davis)
Sung by The Hillside Singers
I'd like to build the world a home
And furnish it with love
Grow apple trees and honey bees
And snow-white turtle doves
Chorus:
I'd like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony
I'd like to hold it in my arms
And keep it company
(That's the song I hear)
I'd like to see the world for once
(Let the world sing today)
All standing hand in hand
And hear them echo through the hills
For peace throughout the land
That's the song I hear
(That's the song I hear)
Let the world sing today
(Let the whole wide world keep singing)
A song of peace that echoes on
And never goes away
(Repeat 1st stanza and Chorus)
Put your hand in my hand
Let's begin today
Put your hand in my hand
Help me find a way
(Repeat Chorus til fade)
SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW
(H. Arlen/E.Y. Harburgh)
Sung by Judy Garland (Dorothy) in
The Wizard of Oz (1939)
Somewhere over the rainbow way up high
There's a land that I've heard of once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.
Someday I wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow blue birds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I.
(Instrumental)
Somewhere over the rainbow blue birds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then, oh why can't I.
If happy little blue birds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why, can't I.
Sing
Raposo
Sing, sing a song
Sing out loud, sing out strong
Sing of good things, not bad
Sing out happy, not sad
Sing, sing a song
Make it simple
To last your whole life long
Don't worry if it's not good enough
For anyone else to hear
Just sing, sing a song
La la la la la La la la la la la
La la la la la la la
Chorus:
Sing, sing a song
Let the world sing along
Sing of love there could be
Sing for you and for me
Sing, sing a song

Don't worry if it's not good enough
For anyone else to hear
Just sing, sing a song

When You Wish Upon A Star
N. Washington, L. Harling
When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you.
If your heart is in a dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true.
Refrain:
Fate is kind
She brings to those who love
The sweet fulfillment of
Their secret longing.
Like a bolt out on the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true.
(Repeat Refrain and last stanza)
Tomorrow (Annie)
C. Strousse, M. Charmin
The sun will come out, tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow, there'll be sun
Jus' thinkin' about, tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow
'Til there's none.
When I'm stuck with the day that's gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin and grin and say, ohhh.
The sun will come out, tomorrow
So you gotta hang on 'til tomorrow
Come what may...
Chorus:
Tomorrow, tomorrow
I love ya, tomorrow
You're always a day away.
(Instrumental)
The sun will come out, tomorrow
So you gotta hang on 'til tomorrow
Come what may...
(Repeat Chorus)
Tomorrow, tomorrow
I love ya, tomorrow
You're always a day a- way!
Turn Around
Harry Belafonte, Alan Greene, Malvina Reynolds
Where are you going my little one, little one
Where are you going my baby, my own
Turn around and you're two
Turn around and you're four
Turn around and you're a young girl
Going out of the door.
Turn around
Turn around
Turn around and you're a young girl
Going out of the door.
Where are you going my little one, little one
Little pigtails and petticoats
Where have you gone
Turn around and you're tiny
Turn around and you're grown
Turn around and you're a young wife
With babes of your own.
Turn around
Turn around
Turn around and you're a young wife
With babes of your own.
Where are you going my little one, little one
Where are you going my baby, my own?
[Ed. note: That may be "Growing" out of the door.
The little girl in the Kodak commercial was being
measured on a heighth chart on the back of a door.]
Grandfather's Clock (1876)
Henry C. Work
My grandfather's clock was too large for the shelf,
So it stood ninety years on the floor;
It was taller by half than the old man himself,
Though it weighed not a pennyweight more.
It was bought on the morn of the day that he was born,
And was always his treasure and pride.
But it stopp'd short, Never to go again,
When the old man died..
Chorus
Ninety years without slumbering
Tick, tock, tick, tock,
His life seconds numbering,
Tick, tock, tick, tock
It stopp'd short, Never to go again
When the old man died.
In watching its pendulum swing to and fro,
Many hours had he spent while a boy;
And in childhood and manhood the clock seemed to know,
And to share both his grief and his joy.
For it struck twenty-four when he entered the door,
With a blooming and beautiful bride.
But it stopp'd short, Never to go again,
When the old man died..
My grandfather said, that of those he could hire,
Not a servant so faithful he found:
For it wasted no time, and had but one desire,
At the close of each week to be wound.
And it kept in its place, not a frown upon its face,
And its hands never hung by its side;
But it stopp'd short, Never to go again,
When the old man died..
It rang an alarm in the dead of the night,
And alarm that for years had been dumb;
And we know that his spirit was pluming its flight,
That his hour of departure had come.
Still the clock kept the time, with a soft muffled chime,
As we silently stood by his side;
But it stopp'd short, Never to go again,
When the old man died..
